HELLO LoT members!
Commin' at you live with some nice updates and some important info.
By now those of you who post here are probably VERY aware that I rarely post any blogs here. Again, you can probably tell that this is because I basically let you guys go wild largely due to the fact that I can't always bring new/interesting stuff to you guys on a regular basis and kind of just let you guys do what you want. Well thanks to some nice new updates, which took a while to upload because dA was being a butt, I've been inspired to pump some life into the veins of this place.
So first things first...
We have a spiffy new animated icon courtesy of , I tried to upload it a while ago but dA was having problems and wouldn’t let me. It’s up now though! So a big thank you to !
In other news, I’ve decided to finally lay down some very basic ground rules as far as uploads and membership goes.
1. ANYONE can be a member and you don’t need permission to do so. So if you want to join us, there is no wait if you intend to be a member.
2. Being a Contributor is the ONLY higher position available right now for applications. I consider Contributors to be people who intend to help push the group forward and benefit other members through various venues. If you try to join as a Contributor you will have to provide me with reasons why and, preferably, examples of why you’d be good for the position. I don’t hand out non-member positions like Chiclets.
3. The Featured section is getting some tighter restrictions, in the way of quality that is. The Featured section should be for your deviations that you really want people look at, and no that does not mean every deviation. If you want to submit a deviation to Featured make sure it really shows off some of your best. I feel bad when I have to down vote a submission to Featured, but if I’ve done it it’s because the deviation you tried to submit really seemed like it would fit better in a general category. Below I’ll put some examples of what I mean…
Belongs in Featured: you posed all of your Toku figures into some kind of scene and took a photograph (even if it’s not the best quality photo), you’re proud of it and it shows a level of your uniqueness. I Up Vote that immediately (more people do this, I love toy scenes <3 )
Does NOT belong in Featured: the 10th random photo today of you holding a different toy from the same set of figures as all the others you just posted. I’m glad that you guys love your gismos (I do too and maybe one day you’ll get to see my shelf) and you want to share them with everyone, but they don’t’ all necessarily belong in Featured. Mass upload those to the right folder(s), you’re more than welcome to and encouraged!
Not everyone can produce the same quality of work and that is fine. I don’t judge based what you try to submit looks good enough.
You may contact me if you have questions/comments/concerns/suggestions just be polite and considerate. Rudeness won’t get you anywhere.
Have fun my friends and keep sending in your works!
